Ask for a feedback page
If you create a service, you must allow users to tell you what they think of your service once they’ve finished using it.
You can do this with a GOV.UK feedback page when your service moves into the beta phase.
You’ll need to ask the Government Digital Service (GDS) to create this feedback page for you. It follows a set template.
See an example of a GOV.UK feedback page in the Service Manual to help decide if the template works for your service.
You can also find out more about the expectations for getting feedback in the Service Manual.
Submit your request to GDS
Submit your request at least 1 month before your beta assessment.
In your request, explain:
- the full name of the service
- which phase the service is in
- when the feedback page needs to be ready
The feedback page will be hidden from search engines, so it can be published before the service is made public.
Use the content requests form to submit your request.
You need a Signon account with ‘content requesters’ permissions to access the form. Speak to your GOV.UK lead if you want access to the form.
Access the collected feedback
Use Feedback Explorer to review feedback from the page.
